We only allow one category per place for multiple reasons. The main reason is the visual representation on a map where one color and one icon needs to be assigned to one place. One option is adding the same place twice (once in each category). However, a better approach would be to reconsider your category structure or use multiple list attributes with sub-categories.

The map domain can be changed in Settings > Basic. If you need to change the URL of a free map, please send us an email to [email protected]

To transfer your map to another account, please contact [email protected]

Yes! In our Premium Version, you can set up custom terms for all your users and choose whether or not it is required for users to agree before signing up. (Settings>Advanced)

On Mapotic, there are several different base map style options. You can choose satellite, street view, winter, and more. Base map layers can be set on Settings > Design > Basemaps.

When logged in and viewing the map page, click Import/Export in the left sidebar menu. Then, click Export and New export in the upper right hand corner. 

Enabling crowdsourcing allows your users to add their own places to the map, as well as make edits. You can enable crowdsourcing if you have a map with our Premium Version under Settings>Basic>General info>Crowdsourcing and interaction settings.

When logged in and viewing the map, click Settings>Advanced>Map availability>Delete.

We are sorry to see you go! If you need to delete your account, you can do so by navigating to My Account in the upper right corner menu by your profile picture. Then, scroll down to Delete the user account

At the moment, there is not an option to manually connect dynamic data to Mapotic. However, if you wish to connect dynamic data to your map, please contact [email protected] and provide us with more details.
